APPSC Recruitment 2026 — Group 1 & Group 2
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has two major recruitments under way: Group 1 Services under Notification No. 07/2026, and Group 2 Services under Brief Notification No. 37/2026. APPSC Group 1 2026
Applications are open now and close on 27 October 2026. The Prelims — two objective papers, General Studies and General Aptitude — is reported tentatively for 24 January 2027, which leaves about three months of preparation after the last date to apply.
APPSC Group 2 2026
The brief notification was issued on 13 October 2026; the detailed notification is due on or before 10 November 2026, and applications run from 10 to 30 November 2026. Exam dates are not yet announced. Selection is by a Screening Test, a Main Examination and a Computer Proficiency Test where applicable.
Preparing for both?
Many aspirants write both exams. The syllabi overlap in Indian history, geography, Andhra Pradesh topics, current affairs and mental ability, so one well-planned routine serves both. Group 1 has the earlier tentative date, so it sets the pace for now; the Group 2 Screening Test adds Indian Society, which Group 1 Prelims does not have as a section of its own.
