Question 1

What is the APPSC Group 2 exam pattern?

Accepted Answer

The Prelims (Screening Test) is a single objective paper of 150 questions for 150 marks in 150 minutes, covering General Studies & Current Affairs and General Mental Ability & Reasoning. Shortlisted candidates then sit the Mains — two objective papers, each 150 questions for 150 marks in 150 minutes (300 marks total) — followed by a qualifying Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) for certain posts. The papers are set in both English and Telugu.

Question 2

Is there negative marking in the APPSC Group 2 exam?

Accepted Answer

A fraction of that question's marks is typically deducted for every wrong answer (confirm the exact rate in the official APPSC Group 2 notification). There is no penalty for a question you leave unanswered, so it is often better to skip a question you are only guessing.

Question 3

What subjects are in the APPSC Group 2 syllabus?

Accepted Answer

General Studies (Polity, History, Geography, Economy, Science, Environment), General Mental Ability & Reasoning, Current Affairs, the History, Culture & Socio-economic development of India & Andhra Pradesh, and the Planning, Economy & Development of India & Andhra Pradesh.
